INTRODUCTION

The Department of English at Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) offers a vibrant and conducive to learning environment supported by highly qualified, experienced and dynamic faculty. English programmes have been a part of the repertoire of the Foundation University ever since its inception over a decade ago. The infrastructure facilities are at par with the most prestigious and exclusive universities in the country and include state-of-the-art air-conditioned classrooms fully equipped with multimedia facilities.

OBJECTIVES

BS English is a specialized four-year programme, tailored to implement HEC’s proposed paradigm of learning, while building a broad base by introducing students to a number of diverse fields such as Logic, Philosophy, Human Rights, Psychology and Business Administration, before immersing them in the specialized domain of English Literature, Linguistics and Language Teaching. This results in a rich and varied learning experience that sets up the learners for diverse career and learning opportunities.
