BSc. Information Engineering Technology

3-labs

Engineers apply theoretical, scientific knowledge to research, invent and build devices and systems whereas engineering technologists implement engineering and technology solutions. In Pakistan, most of the industry is related to manufacturing and services that require skilled engineering technologists for the smooth operation and timely maintenance of equipment. Unfortunately, most of the emphasis of our education sector has remained on producing engineers, who are more skilled to do research and development, while engineering technology programs have remained largely ignored thus retarding industrial growth. The department of engineering technology in FUI has been established with the vision to produce Engineering Technologists that have sufficient hands on training who could conveniently align themselves with industry, government or entrepreneurial endeavors to demonstrate professional advancement hence becoming an asset for the nation.

The Department of Engineering Technologies has been offering two technology programs, biomedical engineering technology and information engineering technology since 2019 with the approval of NTC. The design of the degree programs takes into account the highest national and international standards. The department has established state of art labs, qualified faculty, and strong industrial linkages to impart the required training to the engineering technology students.
