Major General Imran Fazal, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), (Retd) is a distinguished figure in the fields of medicine and military service. He began his medical journey by obtaining an MBBS degree from Rawalpindi Medical College in 1985. Not long after, in March 1986, he was commissioned into the Army Medical Corps. During his illustrious military medical career, he served in various capacities. These commenced with his role as a Regimental Medical Officer in a field unit and then as a Staff Surgeon at the National Defense University. He also made significant contributions at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Rawalpindi, and later earned a postgraduate diploma in medicine from the Armed Forces Postgraduate Medical Institute in 1993.
Maj Gen. Imran Fazal's dedication to medicine led him to prestigious roles such as Senior Registrar in Medicine at institutions including Pakistan Naval Hospital Shifa Karachi and the Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology. He achieved the esteemed Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS) of Pakistan in Medicine in 1998 and served as a consultant in various Combined Military Hospitals until 2017. He has established non-invasive cardiology centers in three services hospitals.

Elevating his service, Maj Gen. Imran Fazal became the Professor of Medicine at Army Medical College Rawalpindi in 2017 and subsequently held the position of Director General Medicine at the General Headquarters, Medical Directorate. His commitment to continuous learning and excellence is further highlighted by his fellowships: Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) (Glasgow) in 2016, FRCP (Edinburgh) in 2019, and American College of Physicians (FACP) in 2020. Furthermore, his expertise has been sought in academia, where he serves as an examiner for CPSP and MRCP(UK) PACES Clinical Examination. In recognition of his exceptional service, the Government of Pakistan honored him with the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military).
Currently, Maj Gen. Imran Fazal is the Director of the Foundation University School of Health Sciences and the Principal of the Foundation University Medical College, positions he has held since December 2021.

Maj Gen Prof. Imran Fazal is consultant cardiologist has more than 25 years of experience in the field of Cardiology and have been practicing at Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology. He earned his MBBS, FCPS with specialization in cardiology which involves diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases including high blood pressure, heart failure, heart valve disease and heart arrhythmias etc. He served on various key positions which includes:-

Prof. Imran Fazal has been associated with renowned services hospitals. While working in cardiology he focuses on the treatment and management of various heart conditions using both medicinal / interventional and surgical management. He has also been performing advanced cardiac procedures. Based on existing conditions, he provides customized treatment plans for patients of all age groups
