The Department of Medicine FUMC is a busy multidisciplinary department. There's a Cardialogy unit consisting of a coronary chair unit where central monitoring and facilities for temporary and permanent pace making ETT and Coronary in angiogram supplemented by surgical facilities available at the Amred Forces Institute of Cardiology. Nephrology unit provies accute and maintenance dialysis Nephrology out door clinic and facilities for Renal Transplant. The Rheumatology unit is supplemented by the Physiotherapy Deparment and the Artificail Limb Center which is the largest of its kind in the South Asia. The Gastroenterology department is a busy unit with ERCP Endoscopy Colonoscopy and Banding facilities. The Pulmonolgy unit looks after MRD tuberculosis and provides Bronchoscopy facilities. Special clinic are run by Hepatitis Diabetes and Nephrology. Post graduate teaching facility provide special workshops Reasearch workshops and seminar and the department collaborates with the Agha Khan University And Collage of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan.
