The aim is to educate medical students in the study of function of the eye as well as diagnosis prevention and treatment of common eye diseases prevalent in our country. Emphasis is on concepts rather than technical details.
Efforts are being made to continuously upgrade the instruments.
It is hoped that this department will soon be recognized by College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) for postgraduate training.
